America has long been considered a melting pot. Instead of stifling other religions, it lets them grow. As a result, America has a plethora of cultures and faiths.

America has very different reactions to religion in different parts of the country. For the most part, it is very casual and relaxed. We wear jeans into our churches and temples. Some people drop in once in a while to their church, and some don't go at all, but still celebrate the holidays of their religion. We are one of the only countries that has more people with no religion than most others. An exception to this attitude is the South. A section around Tennessee is often referred to as "the Bible Belt". Most people there are Christians, and church is generally very conservative.
